Our 2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of two adjacent parcels from the winery’s Rosenquist vineyard, which rests above our two other Mount Veeder ranches.
The vines’ northeastern exposure was hugely beneficial during the early September heat spike and allowed for even and balanced ripening. The vineyard orientation along with careful sorting of grape clusters in the winery enabled our winemaking team to create a delicious reserve wine that is both powerful and refined, showcasing the lively and rustic charm of a classic Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon.
Expressive on the nose with notes of baking spices, cedar, fig, and black cherry. Notes of brooding red fruit flood the palate—the wine is soft yet structured on the palate, with plush tannins, moderate acidity, and a long finish that lingers with notes of black tea and bramble.
