2020 Booker Wines Ripper Grenache

Often described as “one of the most beautiful wines” we make at Booker, Ripper is pure 100% Grenache from the estate. Aged entirely in 500L puncheons with a little contact in concrete for fermentation, our 2020 Ripper starts with a soft, supple nose of cranberry and pomegranate. The palate leads in with a strong backbone of tannin and graphite. Like recent vintages, this pure Grenache shows a richer and bolder side, beautiful and ageworthy. Pair with a springtime salad using little gem lettuce or go for something savory like a butternut squash soup.
